Inspiration

I first got my inspiration through my younger sister, Audrey. Audrey´s 15th birthday is coming up and thinking of Audrey and how I could tie in a special meaning behind the card. Eventually, thinking of our inside joke ¨Tina Fey the skinnier version¨.

My Process

Starting my process I found a picture of Tina Fey and began to sketch and sharpie my Tina on to the block. Eventually, I started to crave Tina by using a 4 to crave the big spaces after finishing the big spaces I would move on to the smaller details such as the face using a 1/2 for the craving. After finishing craving I tested my ¨stamp¨ for any touch ups it may need. Finally, I started to print my ten cards. Using white paint for my first print I decided I did not like the white because it was not as crisp as the black. The black brought out Tina's face the most which I really wanted to capture. Eventually, I move on to the text where I decided on the caption ¨The skinnier version.¨ on the front and on the inside ¨wishing you...¨ in normal font and then having ¨A Happy Birthday¨ in calligrapher.

Inspiration

I decided to do a husky because I want to go to Northern Illinois University. Because the school mascot at NIU is a husky I like the idea and went with it.

My Process

Knowing I wanted to do a husky, I looked on google images for a cute husky that represented NIU.  After finally finding an image, I free hand drew my husky. Then I used a sharpie to make clean lines so that I could clearly see the face of the husky when carving. After craving the face I began to print, making my best effort to ink the first one as best I could. After getting a hold of the printing process my prints kept the dark clean print look I had hoped for. I am happy with hold it turned

Inspiration

Wanting to make a memory filter, I decided to do a summer theme. Finally deciding on the caption "Picture Perfect" I knew I wanted it warm feeling and very color full.

My Process

Knowing I wanted to do a summer theme, I started by hand drawing the camera and then drawing the text "Picture Prefect". I drew the sunglasses, watermelon, and flip-flops all separately then eventually I took pictures of all three and added the text and camera along the the three images and cropped them all together in illustrator. After I colored the new image I made on illustrator. I had designed three different filters, but unfortunately Snapchat did not take any of the options.

Inspiration

I wanted to do 3 faces, but I unfortunately ran out of time. My original plan was to have my two friends and I in the finished product. I also picked a green color scheme because that is my favorite color.

My Process

After picking the picture out I began to cut out shapes of all sizes. Then I began to piece the shapes together to match the picture. Once I finished taping all the pieces I decided on the monochromatic color scheme of green. Picking 5 different shades of green, I placed them on the painting tray and started painting each shape according to the shading of the original picture I picked. After finishing painting the color on the shapes I then whetted down paper and then rolled it through the press to get the finished product.

Inspiration

I decide to do a baby Great Dane because I have always wanted a Great Dane and someday when I am older I plan to get two Great Danes. I love how big they are and how cute they are.

My Process

Starting by surfing the internet for Great Dane puppies, I finally found one I liked and then transferred it over to illustrator. I then started by outlining the  general shape of the puppy. Layering different, shapes, patterns, and color having a total layer count of about 50. After finishing the puppy I picked a dark green background to tie it together.
